LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! You have to love Christa and Kyle. So warm and loving…and full of surprises!

This wedding was amazing for so many reasons. Well, of course, the main was that Kyle and Christa were married! Yay!
Ok…another. Kyle and Christa are from Montana and were here in Cali on a destination wedding. They chose the gorgeous Wayfarers Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. The chapel books their weddings back to back and we were just only to have a 1/2 an hour outside for all our shots afterward…and MAJOR rain was in the forecast. Yikes. I decided to get there early to look for an alternate indoor spot in case it was indeed raining. I say “in case” because I prayed…fervently that God would stop the rain for the perfect amount of time for us to get the amazing photos I wanted to get for them. I drove up and down the coast in the torrential rain looking for an indoor location. I stopped at a resort, valet parked even, and they said NO. I contemplated breaking into a couple of cool looking buildings, but I didn’t think that the bride and groom would want to go to jail for their honeymoon. So…along came St. Peter’s By the Sea…I walked into the office and Pastor Clayton was there, I told him my potential dilemma, and he was kind enough to say YES :) A back up plan! Just in case the Lord was going to allow the rain to teach me something else ;) I felt better. Although, honestly, it would just be so much easier to not have to make the whole world get in their cars and drive in the rain to another location…It was time for me to arrive at the church. I drove up the coast to the chapel…and into the parking lot…and the clouds started to clear! In fact, the sun was BLARING off the wet cement! The sky was a gorgeous blue. It was crazy and wonderful…I just started laughing. The chapel grounds were GORGEOUS and ripe for yummy photos!!! There is more! Read on…
Christa and Kyle…unbeknownst to me…had never KISSED! They wanted their first kiss to be after they were announced husband and wife. So sweet! They wanted to see each other before the ceremony and take photos of their first glance and have some creative photo time. The only problem was…was me! I think I might have been a temptress! While taking photos, I asked them to kiss for a couple photos, and they didn’t! But I didn’t know. Christa had said once, “Not yet!” with a smile, but I thought she meant they wanted to wait for the ceremony…not that they never had! So…during the ceremony, before they kissed, the pastor made the announcement that this was their first kiss! It was adorable. Ok…I’ll stop talking…just enjoy the pictures :)

Waiting

The gorgeous Wayfarers Chapel

And…there it is! (they kept going back for more!)

The sky was still PERFECT…no rain. So we headed over to the park across the street to get some other shots

And just as we were finishing up the last photos…

…it started to rain. A beautiful day, a beautiful couple, a beautiful God.
