I am so excited to share my family with you. Mostly because I love them with ALL of my heart!! This is my sweet love little sister, Julia, and her precious family. Ian and Julia are among my top favorite people in all the universe. I am so happy to have Ian as my brother and don’t even get me started on how much I love my little niece. I could squish her all day long. Look at her. To die for! Her name means Miracle. And that is exactly what she is. Julia and Ian adopted her, but it wasn’t without much prayer. Julia and Ian had gone through much heartache prior to their daughter’s adoption. But as God always does, he brought them to a place to be totally ready for this perfect child. Sweet baby was born with what doctor’s thought were some pretty serious physical problems and possibly some mental problems. Birthmom didn’t receive any prenatal care and did not take care of her body, and Julia and Ian had to make the decision whether or not to adopt. And through prayer at a Prayer Garden and a special rock (which you will see later), the Lord led them to adopt her. After they decided, and took her home, it turned out that there were no mental issues at all! Just physical… her cleft lip and pallet (oh and a cute little extra thumb). She had her lip surgery, and just look at her…doesn’t she look amazing?! I think she is the most beautiful pumpkin ever. I love love love my family. I am so proud.

This is the rock in the prayer garden where they prayed that really spoke to them. It’s a quote from St. Francis of Assisi, who happens to be one of my favorite saints.

Ooh! That face!!
It was cute. When I showed my littlest son this picture, he said, “Why is she all ALONE in the garden?!” No concept that I’m there holding a camera ;)
Precious baby.

This is her signature face. She is a FUNNY child.

We had to revisit this. This is the actual bench Ian sat on while praying about adopting her. Look at that answered prayer.

Love. So much of it. I love that God entrusts us to pass it on. What a gift. Oh and by the way, Ian is the College Pastor at Eastside Christian Church in Fullerton, if you want a place to connect with the God that makes these miracles happen.
